Discover the “Permata Dunia” of Multimedia University (MMU)

“Permata Dunia” is a special term that celebrates the distinguished graduates of Multimedia University (MMU). Since MMU’s establishment in 1997, the university has proudly produced over 75,000 graduates, many of whom have ascended to leadership roles in various industries.

Attributes of Permata Dunia

Every Permata Dunia is characterized by a unique blend of attributes, collectively known as GEMS:

These attributes form the cornerstone of the Permata Dunia Persona framework, a systematic approach to developing MMU students.

The Hall System

Under this innovative framework, all new MMU students are grouped into six distinct halls:

  1. Iota Inderasakti
  2. Kappa Kasturi
  3. Lambda Laksamana
  4. Mu Mahamiru
  5. Rho Rajawali
  6. Sigma Samudera

Each hall is overseen by a Patron and a Principal on each campus. Additionally, each hall is supported by Permata Dunia Advisors (PDAs), whose primary role is to guide students in acquiring the GEMS attributes and provide mentorship throughout their academic journey.

 

Roles of Permata Dunia Advisors (PDAs) under each Hall

The PDAs play a crucial role in the holistic development of MMU students, offering support in the following areas:

  1. Caring for Students: Providing emotional and personal support to ensure students’ well-being.
  2. GEMS Monitoring & Advice: Helping students develop the essential GEMS attributes.
  3. General Study Guidance: Assisting with academic challenges and study strategies.
  4. Attendance Monitoring: Keeping track of students’ class attendance and participation.
  5. Course Progression Advice: Guiding students on their academic path and course selections.
  6. Career Advice: Offering insights and advice on career planning and opportunities.
